Reus to miss Sunday's derby vs. Schalke with muscular injury
Borussia Dortmund confirmed Friday that midfielder Marco Reus will miss the next 14 days - including the local derby against Schalke this weekend - after tearing a muscle in Thursday's Europa League win over Qabala.
The ailment also keeps Reus out of the German national team for upcoming friendlies against France (Nov. 13) and the Netherlands (Nov. 17).
Dortmund expects the 26-year-old to return for the match at Hamburg on Nov. 20.
"Reus ... could be available again after the international break if his recovery goes according to plan," read a statement on the club's official website.
It is a big blow for Reus, who cannot play in the Ruhr derby Sunday. He has only recently rediscovered his form, scoring six goals in his past five matches in all competitions.
