Arjen Robben has a chance to participate in his first match with Bayern Munich since August if he's able to prove his groin injury is a thing of the past.
Manager Pep Guardiola says a decision regarding the Dutch international's availability against FC Koln will be made after Robben trains with the first team Friday.
"If he's fit, he'll be in the squad," Guardiola said ahead of Saturday's fixture.
Robben told German publication kicker that he's confident about his chances to return to the pitch Saturday, where he'd look to help Bayern join AS Roma in 2013-14 and Tottenham's 1960-61 squad as just the third team in the top five European leagues to start a season with 10 consecutive wins.
"I feel very good," Robben said Thursday, as translated by ESPNFC. "I have trained with the Under-23s. It looks good for Saturday. If things continue like that, I will return on Saturday."
The groin injury is the latest in a long list of ailments the Dutch international has suffered over the past year. His participation last season was limited when he tore his abdominal muscle, and then suffered a setback immediately upon his return in April to bring his season to an end.
