"I would like to thank (director of sport) Klaus Allofs for the fact that VfL made my move to Hamburger SV a possibility at such short notice," Hunt said on Wolfsburg's website.
Hunt's departure coincides with a flurry of transfer activity completed Monday by Wolfsburg. Following Kevin De Bruyne's transfer to Manchester City, Wolfsburg completed deal to bring Julian Draxler, Dante, and Ismail Azzaoui to the Volkswagen Arena.
