Pepe Reina has taken his place in the Bundesliga history books.
The Spanish goalkeeper made his first start for Bayern Munich on Saturday, giving incumbent Manuel Neuer a rare break for the contest against Werder Bremen.
In the process, the 32-year-old, who had not played a competitive match for club or country since the 2014 World Cup, became the first Spanish shot-stopper to ever start a contest in the top flight of German football.
In addition, Reina added his name to an exclusive list of players, becoming only the ninth footballer - and first 'keeper - to play at least one match in each of Europe's top four leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga and Serie A).
Welcome to the club. The air is thin.
