Borussia Dortmund's Reus leaves German Cup match with apparent ankle injury
The jovial atmosphere around Borussia Dortmund might be on the verge of sinking back into despair following Marco Reus' latest injury.
It's too early to say whether the Dortmund midfielder will miss any time, but Reus was forced to leave Tuesday's match after suffering a suspected ankle injury against Dynamo Dresden in a German Cup game.
Reus only lasted 25 minutes before suffering the injury and was immediately removed from the game.
He was in exceptional form heading into the match, scoring in each of his last five matches to help Dortmund get out of the Bundesliga drop-zone.
Unfortunately it's not the first injury of the season for Reus after he was forced to miss two months with torn ligaments in his right ankle following a brutal tackle against Paderborn in November.
