Andre Schurrle's brief stint at Chelsea has come to an end.
The German attacker is heading back to the Bundesliga, as Wolfsburg confirmed Monday that they've reached a deal with the Blues to acquire the services of the 24-year-old World Cup winner, signing him to a contract through 2019.
The deal will reportedly see Chelsea pocket €32 million, an impressive profit considering the Premier League club bought Schurrle from Bayer Leverkusen for €22 million in the summer of 2013.
The versatile forward scored 14 goals in 65 matches (in all competitions) during his time in West London, but never established himself as a legitimate starting option under manager Jose Mourinho.
In joining Wolfsburg, Schurrle should instantly form one of Germany's more exciting attacking duos in tandem with star midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.
