Schalke completes loan signing of Matija Nastasic from Manchester City

Schalke doesn't mess around in the transfer market.

Club chairman Clemens Tonnies admitted last month that he was looking to sign seldom-used Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic, and on Monday the club confirmed that a deal has been reached.

The 21-year-old Serbian joins the German side on an initial loan deal until the end of the season, with both teams agreeing on a purchase option that could make the transfer permanent come the end of the campaign.
