19-year-old Mats Moller Daehli set to join Freiburg
Sitting at the bottom of the Bundesliga table halfway through the season, Freiburg are turning to one of football's most promising youngsters in search of help.
The German club announced Monday that they've reached an agreement with Cardiff City over the transfer of 19-year-old Mats Moller Daehli, who was previously part of Manchester United's reserve team and has already made 11 appearance for Norway's national team.
International clearance is still required before he can officially join Freiburg, and the deal will be completed on Jan. 3, when the winter transfer window is open.
For supporters of Cardiff, the move could mark the final straw regarding controversial owner Vincent Tan. Daehli is regarded as one of the top young talents to pass through the club since Aaron Ramsey, but for whatever reason, he was unable to work his way into Cardiff's starting XI.
