Bayern Munich eliminated from German Cup by third-division Saarbruecken
Bayern Munich crashed out of the German Cup at the second round for the third time in four years after a 2-1 loss away at third-division Saarbruecken on Wednesday, thanks to a last-minute winner from Marcel Gaus.
Bayern opened the scoring early through veteran Thomas Mueller, but the home side equalised in first-half injury time through Patrick Sontheimer.
With scores locked at 1-1 and the match seemingly destined for extra time, defender Gaus scored in the sixth minute of injury time to earn his side a famous victory.
