Report: Dortmund willing to sell Pulisic to Liverpool or Chelsea for £70M
Borussia Dortmund are prepared to let Christian Pulisic join Chelsea or Liverpool next summer for a £70-million fee, according to The Telegraph's Matt Law.
Dortmund director Michael Zorc made it clear in November that his club won't allow Pulisic to leave in the January transfer window, but stopped short of saying he'll remain after the summer.
"We are planning with him at least until the end of the season," Zorc said.
Pulisic admitted in a separate interview he could one day find himself in the Premier League, fueling speculation of a move to either Chelsea or Liverpool.
The Blues would have to shatter their transfer record to sign Pulisic at Dortmund's price, having put up a previous high of £71 million to pry goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Club in August.
The asking price could prove to be prohibitive considering Pulisic's contract expires in June 2020.
Pulisic shot to stardom with Dortmund after graduating from the club's academy, showing pace and intelligence on counter-attacks, and the courage to take on defenders. He's made more than 100 appearances for the Bundesliga giants since debuting in 2016.
The American's stock has yet to take a hit despite 18-year-old Dortmund teammate Jadon Sancho stealing the headlines with four goals and six assists in his first 12 top-flight appearances this season.
