Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski revealed he was "disappointed" with his teammates after losing the Bundesliga scoring title to the man who replaced him at Borussia Dortmund, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabonese international won the award by a single goal, scoring 31 to Lewandowski's 30 tallies.

"It doesn't hurt anymore, but it did at first," Lewandowski is quoted as saying by ESPN FC's Mark Lovell. "Maybe because I wasn't completely satisfied with the way my team helped me. Immediately after the last game, I felt anger. I was disappointed with my team. That was the feeling I had."

Lewandowski failed to find the net in two of Bayern's final three matches of the season, despite firing 20 attempts on goal. Meanwhile, Aubameyang scored four goals in that span - including a brace on the final day - to steal the honour.

The Polish poacher, who claimed the Torjagerkanone after the 2015-16 campaign, still managed to post a second consecutive 30-goal season with the Bavarian side.
