Watch: Darmstadt's stunning set-piece goal adds to Wolfsburg's woes
Reuters
A change of managers hasn't provided the boost Wolfsburg so desperately needed to turn its season around, as the club went down a man and a goal in the first half Saturday against Darmstadt.
Life after Dieter Hecking, who was relieved of his managerial duties earlier this week, saw Wolfsburg go down a man two minutes before midfielder Anis Ben-Hatira put Darmstadt up a goal with a beautiful free-kick from just over 20 yards out.
Wolfsburg managed to score an equaliser shortly after halftime, but will need three points if it wants to create further space away from the relegation zone.
