Bayern confirms Costa sustained thigh injury vs. Ingolstadt
Bayern Munich suffered an injury blow during Saturday's win over Ingolstadt with news that Douglas Costa will be sidelined with a thigh injury.
The Bundesliga leaders did not provide a timeline for his return, saying that Costa will be absent from the team "for the time being."
The Brazilian winger was removed from the contest, which finished 3-1 in favour of Bayern, after 83 minutes.
German outlet kicker, reports that team physician Dr. Volker Braun has diagnosed Costa with a muscle injury in his right posterior thigh. The Brazilian was also forced to miss summer assignments with Brazil during the Copa America and Olympic tournaments because a left thigh injury.
Costa has only managed one start during the early stages of Bayern's season, and has appeared as a substitute on two occasions.
