There will be extra cash up for grabs if Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford ends inside the distance.

Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, announced Friday that he is implementing a knockout bonus for September's superfight. Alalshikh said earlier this month he will no longer promote "Tom and Jerry" boxing matches, where "one fighter is running around the ring and the other is chasing him." He appears to be trying to eliminate those kinds of fights with the knockout bonus.

"We will not have (Tom and Jerry fights) anymore," Alalshikh said at a press conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, according to Ring Magazine. "This is the first thing. The second, we will have, in this fight and the next fights, (a) bonus for (a) KO."

Alalshikh did not specify how much money the bonus will be worth.

Alalshikh is promoting Álvarez-Crawford - which is scheduled for Sept. 13 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas - alongside TKO Group Holdings and UFC CEO Dana White.

Álvarez will step into the ring for the first time since regaining the undisputed super middleweight championship with a lackluster win over William Scull in May. The 34-year-old Mexican superstar is riding a six-fight winning streak.

Crawford, the WBA junior middleweight champion, is moving up two divisions to face Álvarez. The 37-year-old holds a 41-0 pro record.

"I won't be running, I can tell you that," Crawford said Friday, according to ESPN's Andreas Hale. "But I will be doing a lot of touching."
