It appears Jake Paul is no longer interested in a showdown with Conor McGregor.

After his win over Nate Diaz on Saturday, Paul dismissed the possibility of fighting the UFC superstar and laid out his preferred options.

"I don't care about that guy," Paul said, according to MMA Junkie. "He needs to go to rehab. I want Nate in MMA. I want more professional boxers. And I want Canelo (Alvarez)."

Paul, the YouTube star turned prizefighter, defeated Diaz, the former UFC star who has twice fought McGregor, by unanimous decision in a 10-round boxing match in Dallas. Paul controlled most of the fight, hurting Diaz in the first round and then dropping him in the fifth.

Ahead of the bout, Paul expressed interest in facing McGregor several times - potentially in his next fight - and said it would be a "massive event." In fact, Paul has targeted a matchup with the Irishman since the early days of his pro boxing career, which began in January 2020.

"The Problem Child" returned to the win column Saturday after suffering his first career loss in February against Tommy Fury. McGregor, the former UFC two-division champion and the biggest star in MMA history, hasn't fought in the Octagon since July 2021.
