Canelo Alvarez and Sergey Kovalev are finalizing a deal to fight for the light heavyweight title on Nov. 2 in Las Vegas, according to Mike Coppinger of The Athletic.

The fight will be announced in the next week and it'll be streamed on DAZN.

Canelo, 29, boasts a 52-1-2 record with 35 knockouts, and he most recently won a unanimous 12-round decision over Daniel Jacobs on May 4, 2019 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

T-Mobile Arena won't be available to host the fight against Kovalev, with the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights hosting a game there the same night, according to Coppinger.

Kovalev, 36, owns a 34-3-1 record with 29 KOs. Most recently, Kovalev knocked out Anthony Yarde on Aug. 24 to retain the WBO and EBP light heavyweight titles.
