Undefeated IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. and the division's WBC titleholder Shawn Porter have finalized a deal for a unification title fight this fall, sources told Mike Coppinger of The Athletic.

Venue and date details are still being ironed out, but Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. has been discussed for the bout in September, per Coppinger.

The fight was originally slated for an Aug. 3 PBC on FOX date, but Spence argued for his spot on a pay-per-view event.

Porter (30-2-1, 17 KOs) is coming off a controversial split-decision win over Yordenis Ugas in March. He called out the undefeated Spence after a September 2018 win over Danny Garcia and the two have since been on a collision course.

Meanwhile, Spence (25-0, 21 KOs) most recently defended his world title, also in March, against Mikey Garcia, winning via 12-round unanimous decision.
