Manny Pacquiao beat Lucas Matthysse to add the WBA welterweight title to his Hall of Fame resume Saturday at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Pacquiao won via seventh-round TKO after dominating the bout. It was his first stoppage win since 2009 against Miguel Cotto.
The Filipino legend looked far more powerful and well-conditioned than he did in last year's shock loss to Jeff Horn.
The 39-year-old sent Matthysse to the mat three times in his first fight without longtime trainer Freddie Roach.
