One of boxing's most successful partnerships is no more.

Manny Pacquiao has parted ways with longtime trainer Freddie Roach ahead of his July date with Lucas Matthysse, Yahoo Sports' Kevin Iole reports, citing a Friday release.

The 39-year-old's corner will now reportedly be manned by Restituto "Buboy" Fernandez and Raides "Nonoy" Neri.

Friday's development comes months after Roach - whose partnership with the eight-division world champ dates back to 2001 - told FightHype.com that Pacquiao's senatorial duties in his native Philippines were detrimental to a boxing career he'd resumed in late 2016 following a brief retirement.

Roach first cornered Pacquiao in his maiden voyage to the United States opposite South Africa's Lehlo Ledwaba in June 2001, a fight Pacquiao won by sixth-round TKO. In what now marks the final fight of their lengthy, fruitful run, Pacquiao dropped a controversial unanimous verdict and a WBO welterweight crown to Jeff Horn in the latter's native Brisbane this past July.

He next faces Matthysse for a WBA title on July 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
