The BIG3 league appears to be gaining momentum as it closes out Year 2.

The barnstorming three-on-three tour founded in part by Ice Cube announced in a release that Friday's event in Dallas - the second-last stop of the 2018 BIG3 season - set a new league attendance record, with 16,402 fans packing into the American Airlines Center to take in semifinals action.

The previous record was 16,341, set in Week 1 in Houston, suggesting that even the appeal of watching retired NBA mainstays play half-court basketball is bigger in Texas.

The 2018 season is set to wrap up next Friday in Brooklyn with the championship tilt between the Power and the 3's Company. The matchup will feature former NBA talents such as Baron Davis, Glen "Big Baby" Davis, Chris "Birdman" Andersen, Corey Maggette, and Drew Gooden.
