Draymond upset with Serena's US Open loss: 'She's still the greatest'

Draymond Green will be the first to tell you that you win some, you lose some.

Green attended Serena Williams' quarterfinal win over Simona Halep in the US Open on Wednesday. The next night, the Golden State Warriors star watched as Williams fell to Karolina Pliskova in the semis.

"I'm mad Serena lost," Green told TMZ Sports on Friday. "I hate to see Serena lose, man."

The tennis superstar, who recently claimed the record for most Gland Slam victories in the Open era, has been dealing with a knee injury. As a fellow pro athlete, Green knows what it's like to have off days.

"Ain't your day every day. ... Can't win 'em all. She's still the greatest," added the 26-year-old forward, who doesn't plan on watching any more of the tournament.

Green's had a whirlwind of a summer. His Warriors weren't able to repeat as NBA champions, blowing a 3-1 Finals lead to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Since then, though, Golden State signed free-agent superstar Kevin Durant, whom Green then won an Olympic gold medal with him on Team USA in Rio.
