Serena Williams trying to end matches quicker
Serena Williams is one of the most dominant players the sport has ever seen, but she wants to be even more dominant.
The American said Saturday after her third-round win over Kristina Mladenovic that she will work on ending matches quicker.
"It was definitely a challenge for me, obviously," Williams said. "I think by the score line, you know, and by the match, and barely getting through that, I had opportunities to end it a lot sooner and I didn't, but that's also something that I can try to do, you know, going forward."
Williams needed five match points to secure victory, eventually prevailing 12-10 in a second set tiebreak.
Still, Williams hasn't dropped a set at Roland Garros and will be extremely difficult to oust no matter how long her matches take.
