FIFA will reportedly announce that the 2022 Qatar World Cup will be played in November and December, according to a report from espnfc.us.
FIFA officials will meet in Doha, Qatar next week with the recommendation for a winter World Cup, according to Grant Wahl from si.com. The FIFA executive committee would potential ratify the decision at it's March meeting.
In December, FIFA president Sepp Blatter and his UEFA counterpart Michel Platini said they would be in favor of a winter World Cup to avoid the summer heat where temperatures reach the high 40-degree territory.
However, the 2022 Winter Olympics and European football leagues would be two issues that would interfere with such a move.
