Germany's World Cup trophy damaged during celebrations

Germany celebrated winning the World Cup in style.
They partied hard, and rightfully so, and in the process damaged their World Cup trophy, according to German Football Association president Wolfgang Niersbach (via Die Welt and ESPN).
"At one point, a small piece of our World Cup trophy was chipped off. But do not worry! We have specialists on the case who can fix it. We have investigated persistently who it was that damaged the trophy, but the investigation was concluded without a result."
To have been a fly on the wall for that "investigation."
Don't worry, though: the trophy's a replica.
Party on, Germany.
