The World Cup made the 6,216-mile journey from Rio de Janeiro to Berlin Tuesday morning only to be greeted by thousands of admirers located at Brandenburg Gate.

Here are the best tweets, photos, videos, and selfies from their triumphant return.

Joachim Löw took the grail into the cockpit before touching down in Berlin.

There, a bus inched the nationals through the city with the hardware on display.

The team finally arrived at the stage near Brandenburg Gate.

Philipp Lahm emerged with the World Cup.

Then seflies reigned supreme.

Jogi nearly surfed the crowd.

Mesut Özil and Mats Hummels enjoyed life.

And Bastian Schweinsteiger let the crowd know how many World Cups their country has celebrated.

Congrats, once again, Deutscher Fussball-Bund!
