In a historic day showing further evidence of goodwill between the two nations, the soccer representatives of the United States and Cuba met in Havana for their first international friendly since 1947.

An excited crowd packed into the Estadio Pedro Marrero for Friday's visit from Jurgen Klinsmann's side. It was the U.S.'s second competitive visit in 69 years, with the last coming in a 2008 World Cup qualifier when tourist travel was restricted for Americans.

Since the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries in July 2015, soccer has welcomed back an age-old rivalry that it was deprived of for so long.
