Watch: McCutchen collects RBI single to give USA early lead

United States right fielder Andrew McCutchen broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning with an RBI single to give the Americans an early 1-0 leave over Japan in Tuesday's semifinal matchup at the World Baseball Classic.

Strong starting pitching and a continuous drizzle was the early story at Dodger Stadium before McCutchen cashed in Christian Yelich with his two-out ground ball to left field off Japan starter Tomoyuki Sugano.
