Sturridge scored once on three shots on goal in Sunday's 3-2 loss at Southampton.

Analysis:

It was his fourth league goal of the year, and the first one that didn't come against Aston Villa. Sturridge's season will surely be defined by injuries, but he's actually totaled seven goals in 14 appearances in all competitions. In theory, Sturridge is worth a shot in the dark in hopes he can return to his 13/14 form, but with Tottenham coming into Anfield in two weeks, you'll want to wait for a better matchup to take a chance with Sturridge.
