The Russian Football Union handed a six-game suspension to Zenit Saint Petersburg manager Andre-Villas Boas for pushing the fourth official on Saturday.

Villas-Boas was sent down the tunnel after the incident, which occurred during a 3-1 loss at home to Krylya Sovetov Samara. Video shows the 37-year-old coach arguing face to face with touchline official Ivan Saraev.

The disciplinary commission in Russia confirmed to R-Sport, courtesy of Sky Sports, that Villas-Boas "left his technical area and hit the fourth official in the chest."

His suspension is set to end on Oct. 30, meaning he will miss a crucial Premier League match against league leader CSKA Moscow on Sept. 12.

Zenit is currently in third place, six points behind CSKA.

Villas-Boas won the Russian League in his first campaign with Zenit last season.
