VIDEO: Soldado's woes carry over to Europa League after baffling decision to pass

Just when it seemed things couldn't possibly get worse for Roberto Soldado, he goes ahead and puts on another dreadful display to prove everyone wrong.

The beleaguered Spanish striker had a golden opportunity to put Tottenham up in the second leg of their Europa League match against Fiorentina, but, for some ludicrous reason, passed up a goal-scoring opportunity in favour of an ill-fated pass.

Erik Lamela provided Soldado with a beautiful pass to send him in alone with the 'keeper. Yet, as he approached the 18-yard box, Soldado opted to play provider when he saw Nacer Chadli running alongside him.

Soldado mis-kicked the pass and saw his effort scooped up by the Fiorentina 'keeper.

He can't possibly be having fun at this point, can he?
