Manchester United's Wayne Rooney: Not heading to China
Rooney (muscle) is unlikely to leave Manchester United despite big-money interest from China as the league's transfer window draws to a close on Tuesday, reports Sky Sports.
Analysis:
The veteran striker has been approached by several Chinese clubs that could make him the world's highest-paid player. Rooney still has 18 months remaining on his current contract with United with a one-year extension option. He has not held down a regular starting spot under manager Jose Mourinho, and did not travel with the team to France for the second leg of the Europa League tie with Saint-Etienne.
