Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge: Out indefinitely with injury

Sturridge (calf) returned to training on Friday but is without a timeline for when he can play in a match. When asked Friday about when Sturridge could return manager Jurgen Klopp said "[We have] no real idea. Until now he didn't train on the pitch, maybe today but it wasn't 100 percent clear yesterday. He will go out today on the pitch but that mean starting the football work not with the team but only the rehab coach. I have no idea when he is back."

Analysis:

Given the laundry list of injuries Sturridge has dealt with over the past few years, it's hardly surprising that Liverpool will take their time in getting their striker fit. Divock Origi is expected to continue starting up front, though Roberto Firmino has been successful as a no. 9 this season as well.
