Olympiacos appoints Paulo Bento as new manager

Greek outfit Olympiacos FC announced Thursday the club has hired Portuguese tactician Paulo Bento as its new manager.
Bento, 47, joins the team after a stint with Brazilian side Cruzeiro earlier in the year.
The former Portugal national team coach replaced Spanish coach Victor Sanchez, who himself succeeded Marco Silva in June 2016 but was fired in less than two months after crashing out of the Champions Leauge at the hands of Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
Bento is the fourth Portuguese manager in Olympiacos' history, behind Silva, Vitor Pereira, and Leonardo Jardim.
