On Monday, Jorge Sampaoli was confirmed as Sevilla's new manager, putting pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Andalusian club.

Sevilla's appointment marks Sampaoli's return to football after he resigned as Chile's manager in January, only sixth months after commanding La Roja to its first-ever title by winning the 2015 Copa America on home soil. His exit from the team was complicated by how much he would have to pay to get out of his contract.

During his time in Chile, Sampaoli built on the work of Bielsa, his predecessor who developed La Roja into an attacking machine that forced its opponent to play in its own half, featured a front three, and excelled by creating two-on-one situations.

If Sampaoli can do with Sevilla what he did with Chile, then the Andalusian club should be optimistic about the Argentinian manager's arrival.
