A late goal at El Madrigal was erased Thursday by an early goal at Anfield.
After a 92nd-minute strike resulted in Liverpool falling 1-0 to Villarreal in the first leg of their tie in the Europa League's semi-finals, the aggregate was quickly levelled in the second leg, as the Reds were rewarded for their early pressure when Bruno Soriano deflected the ball into the Yellow Submarine's net.
The goal marked Villarreal's fourth own goal in European competition and its first since the group stage of the 2011-12 Champions League, when Carlos Marchena helped Manchester City to a 2-1 victory.
