Everton and Stoke City supporters are out of luck if they think their respective teams have a shot at signing Andriy Yarmolenko from Dynamo Kyiv.

Despite Everton's interest in the Ukranian international last summer, Dynamo president Ihor Surkis acknowledged that Yarmolenko is likely to leave this summer, but ruled out transfers to the pair of Premier League teams.

Surkis revealed that the team is only will to sell the 26-year-old to an elite club that matches, in his talent, Yarmolenko's quality as a player.

"If I get an offer that will suit Dynamo and Yarmolenko wants to go to this club, I'll let him. All talk of a transfer will begin after the Euros," Surkis said, as reported by the Guardian.

"He is already a top player, so he should go to a top club. My position is that we should not let Yarmolenko go to such clubs as Everton and Stoke City. Dynamo is Dynamo and Stoke City is Stoke. We're playing in the Champions League, and Stoke City are fighting for survival.”

The Dynamo president added that he had a deal in place to sell Yarmolenko to a Chinese team until the player rejected the move, citing that the forward prefers to play in one of Europe's top leagues.

“Andriy said that dreams to play in the Bundesliga and the English Premier League. The situation compared to last year is completely different, for example, Borussia Dortmund came to us two days before the transfer window closed.”

Liverpool and Arsenal have also reportedly expressed interest in Yarmolenko in the past.

He's managed to score 13 times during 23 league appearances with Kyiv this season.
