Fan punches, kicks linesman during lopsided Super Lig contest

There were scary scenes in Turkey on Sunday when an irate supporter invaded the pitch and attacked a goal-line official.

The man eluded security guards placed around the pitch before delivering a violent blow to the referee's back, knocking him to the ground. He then kicked the official and threw a trio of punches before being restrained.

The incident occurred inside Trabzonspor's stadium during the final minutes of the home side's 4-0 loss to Fenerbahce.
