Klopp plays down interest in bringing Balotelli back

Mario Balotelli's chances of reviving his Liverpool career took a hit following manager Jurgen Klopp's failure to guarantee a spot for the Italian forward.

Agent Mino Raiola hinted last week that his 25-year-old client is planning on meeting with the German manager to discuss a possible return to Anfield.

Balotelli left the club last to join AC Milan on loan after he failed to make an impression with former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers. However, his hopes of making a return aren't a concern for Klopp at the moment.

"At this moment, I don't have the time and capacity to think about things for next summer," Klopp told reporters.

"Maybe his agent says this and we will have a talk with his agent, but it's nothing I can think about in this moment. I am just thinking about what we can change in this moment."

Since joining AC Milan, Balotelli has been plagued by injuries that have limited him to just one goal in four appearances.
