Balotelli returns to AC Milan training after groin surgery

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli participated in training Wednesday, a sign of encouragement from a player who's been battling a nagging groin injury for more than two months.
The 25-year-old required surgery to correct the problem after trying and failing to treat it with more conservative methods.
But he has confirmed his progress on his Instagram page, showing a much happier version of himself.
Balotelli hasn't played for Milan since a Sept. 27 loss to Genoa. He could, however, make his comeback before the Christmas break, as the club eyes the Dec. 20 match against Frosinone as a viable return date.
