Uros Djurdjevic was forced to exit the pitch prematurely during his first start for Palermo.

After landing awkwardly in the second half of his club's fixture at AC Milan on Saturday, the Serbian forward suffered a second knock only moments later, and was subsequently carried off on a stretcher.

Alberto Gilardino entered the match as a result.

Djurdjevic, who joined Palermo from Vitesse Arnhem during the summer transfer window, scored in his Serie A debut last weekend, coming on in the 63rd minute of his club's game versus Carpi before bagging an 88th-minute equaliser.
