Juventus had no intention of selling Paul Pogba this summer, but club director Giuseppe Marotta thinks the star midfielder could go for more than €100 million if and when he does go on the market.

Pogba has transformed into one of the hottest players on the planet since moving on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2012.

The 22-year-old recently inherited the No. 10 jersey, previously worn by the legendary Alessandro Del Piero. On top of that, Pogba is now the main man in midfield following the departures of Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo.

Marotta confirmed that concrete offers came from "some very important clubs," but the club decided to keep Pogba.

"As we want to win, we have decided to keep hold of a player as important as Pogba, although we have had offers from some very important clubs," Marotta told reporters.

"In the future he could be worth more than €100 million."

That would make him the most expensive player in football history.

Juventus is gunning for a record fifth consecutive Italian championship this season.
