Felipe Melo is back in Serie A.
The Brazilian midfielder, formerly of Fiorentina and Juventus, joined Inter Milan just minutes ahead of Monday's transfer deadline, with the Nerazzurri coming to an agreement with Galatasaray for the permanent signing of the 32-year-old.
Financial details were not released, though the hard-tackling midfielder is thought to have cost Inter €3.5 million.
With compatriot Hernanes leaving the club to head to bitter rivals Juventus, Melo will likely be expected to slot in and provide depth for manager Roberto Mancini.
