Carlos Tevez's time with Juventus is officially over, after the Serie A club confirmed the forward's departure and announced his return to Argentina, where he has agreed to join his former team, Boca Juniors.

While his agreement with Boca had already been confirmed on June 26, the Argentine said his goodbyes to his loyal Juve fans Sunday following two successful years in Turin.

New chapter begins and I just want to say big thanks for my 2 fantastic years at Juventus, even all my fans who always supported me in good and bad times in. Without you I would not be able to make 2 great seasons, you have been amazing to me and I appreciate it very much. I also want to say thanks to all my teammates and coaching staff in Juve who helped me very much on and off the pitch. You have teached me a lot, I'm very grateful!! I hope you keep up the good results

Tevez finishes his Juve career with a fantastic scoring record, putting 50 goals into the back of the net in 96 appearances for the Bianconeri.

He played a major role in sustaining the team's revival in the Serie A, as his contributions upon arrival from Manchester City in 2013 helped the club win their third and fourth consecutive league titles.

The forward has had a roller-coaster career since departing Boca Juniors as a 20-year-old in 2004. He began his career in England by joining West Ham United from Brazilian side Corinthians. After a season at Upton Park, he moved on to play for Manchester United before controversially joining city rivals Manchester City.

Tevez showed signs of brilliance as a member of City, but more often than not gave off the impression that he was unhappy with life at the Etihad Stadium under the influence of manager Roberto Mancini, and was subsequently allowed to move on to Juventus.
