Alexandre Pato appears open to Inter Milan switch

Alexandre Pato could be the latest to make the controversial switch as a former AC Milan player to join rivals Inter Milan.

The striker, who has played in his native country Brazil since leaving AC Milan in 2013, recently talked about the struggles he faced with the Rossoneri.

"I could never get two consecutive games at Milan," Pato told Sky Italia.

Pato, 25, spent five frustrating seasons at AC Milan, where he appeared in 117 league matches and managed to score 51 goals before signing with Corinthians. He was then sold to Sao Paulo just over a year later, and appears to be eyeing a move back to Europe.

He seemed intrigued by the idea of signing with AC Milan's biggest rivals if he were to make a return to the Serie A.

"Inter? They're a great team, you never know what can happen in football," he admitted.

If such a move occurred, Pato would be the first former AC Milan player to make the dubious move since Antonio Cassano traded allegiances in 2012.
