Roma continues to be busy this month.

Having already sold Mattia Destro to Milan and replacing him with Seydou Doumbia from CSKA Moscow, the capital club added another forward to its already impressive cupboard of attackers on Sunday.

The Giallorossi released a statement confirming the signing of Victor Ibarbo from Cagliari, bringing the Colombian to the Stadio Olimpico on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.

Ibarbo, 24, will cost Roma €2.5 million for the initial loan, and should the club wish to make the move permanent they will need to fork over a further €12.5 million.

The blistering forward - an abundant trait among Roma's attacking corps, save for Francesco Totti of course - is in the midst of his fourth season with Cagliari, and has never scored more than six goals in a single Serie A campaign.

There were rumors suggesting this move was on the brink of completion even before winger Juan Iturbe suffered knee and ankle ligament damage on Saturday against Empoli, and the Argentine's unfortunate injury makes this transfer seem all the more necessary for a Roma side still harbouring hopes of catching Juventus at the top of the table.
