Well, that didn't take long.
After Chievo sacked Eugenio Corini following their 3-0 defeat to Roma over the weekend, Rolando Maran, a former player at the club, was hired as the club's new manager Monday.
Maran, 51, made 330 appearances for Chievo as a player and arrives at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi with coaching experience at Catania, who sacked him in April.
"It's very emotional for me to be at this club," said Maran of his new position. "It's extra special because I spent almost my entire playing career at Chievo Verona and now I'm very happy to be here as coach."
Chievo's latest loss placed them in the relegation zone with only four points from their seven Serie A fixtures.
