Roma is close to finding a replacement for Mehdi Benatia.

Olympiakos defender Kostas Manolas was spotted in Rome Tuesday as reports continue to suggest the 23-year-old will replace Benatia, who is now a member of Bayern Munich.

Arsenal were rumoured to be in on Manolas earlier in the summer, but concerns over playing time ultimately scuppered the deal.

Gianluca Di Marzio's David Amoyal reports Roma will pay 13 million euros for the defender, who will then sign a five-year contract with the Italian club.

Manolas made 49 appearances for Olympiakos since joining the club from AEK Athens in 2012. He made his debut for the Greece national team last year and featured at the World Cup in Brazil.
