AC Milan have officially added another Colombian to their backline.

Armero, who is signed on loan from Udinese and will play alongside fellow countryman Cristian Zapata, joins the Rossoneri following a hugely-successful World Cup campaign where he helped carry Colombia to the quarter-finals by terrorizing opponents on the left flank. He also scored Los Cafeteros' first goal of the tournament against Greece.

Upon arriving at the Milan Malpensa Airport on Monday, Armero spoke of the discussions he's had with Zapata and former Milan defender Mario Yepes, as well as manager Filippo Inzaghi.

Per AC Milan's official website:

I arrive in a great team, I want to find space here and do well. Yepes and Zapata? Yes, I spoke to some friends like Mario and Cristian and they spoke well about Milan. We’ll work hard to do well for the fans who deserve it. I’ve spoken to coach Inzaghi, he was a footballer who loved to win, he wants to do so as a coach. He’s said I have to work with intensity to give my all and give everything to become a first-team regular. After the World Cup, I rested, I’ve been with my family and friends. Now I have to think about training and giving my best to make myself ready when I’m called up for the cause. First I’ll think about winning the match, then I’ll think about the celebration dance. I’m only thinking about working to do well and earning a place here, then the coach will say who plays.

The deal is subject to a medical that Armero underwent on Tuesday, but from the looks of it, the 27-year-old left-back is already looking forward to life in Italy's fashion capital.
