Urby Emanuelson transfers to Roma

Former AC Milan midfielder Urby Emanuelson is heading to southern Italy.

The 28-year-old former Dutch international agreed to a one-year deal and becomes the second Roma signing this week after Ashley Cole joined the squad on Monday.
Emanuelson appeared in 14 games at Fulham last season following a January transfer from AC Milan but was released by the Italian giants upon his return.
