MILAN, March 27, 2014 - Juventus coach Antonio Conte has admitted he has no qualms about Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella refusing to call Carlos Tevez into the national squad.

Tevez has been one of the driving forces in Juve's march towards a likely third consecutive title and a possible record finish of 100 points this season.

But Conte said: "Thankfully Sabella isn't picking him, that way he can remain with us to train. We already have a lot of players on international duty."

Thanks to a brace in a 2-1 win over Parma on Wednesday, Tevez returned to the top of Serie A's scoring charts with a one-goal lead on Torino's Ciro Immobile.

But with Sabella boasting a forward line which includes Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain, Sergio Aguero and Ezequiel Lavezzi, Tevez -- who has never been picked for Argentina under Sabella -- said he does not expect a call any time soon.

"I do my job on the pitch and after that it's up to Sabella to decide whether I go to the World Cup or not, not me," said Tevez.

"It's not up to me to pick up the phone and convince him. If I don't get picked, I'll go to the seaside with my family."

Juventus sit top of the league with a 14-point lead on Roma.
